Gas will soon be replaced by hydrogen, says General Motors ft. Honda

Theoretically, hydrogen energy is more than 200 years old, but in practice with its use everything is not so good. However, it is clear that General Motors and Honda finally decided to sort out these problems and “pour” hydrogen into the masses: a long-term contract was concluded between them, which is a joint venture on hydrogen engines.

Not one performance with more than 1000 patents

It is not by chance that the contract was closed by these companies. Today they are world leaders in this field. Over 11 years, more than 1,200 patents have been automated, and now it is probably time to implement and apply these patents in a dignified manner.

Advantages and disadvantages of hydrogen

It should be noted that hydrogen fuel has many advantages and a sufficient number of minuses. For example, during the combustion of hydrogen water is formed, which means that there will be no threat to the environment. But if you look at this, the process of producing hydrogen fuel is very energy-intensive, especially since there are enough transportation problems. The mixture of air and hydrogen is very explosive, as described in the literature on car repair. But since an innovative system was recently developed for high-quality and convenient storage of the hydrogen mixture, the problem was seriously disturbed.

Another failed attempt?

It’s worth saying that Honda was already trying to launch hydrogen cars in 2002. But this idea was not crowned with success: only 85 FCX Clarity and Honda FCX models were sold in Japan and America. This time everything is much more serious. By 2015, the next generation FCX Clarity will appear in the United States and Japan, and soon in Europe.
